Walking the Talk
Linking Research to Practice
When: 18 September 2019, 10am – 11.30am
Where: Conference Room A, NICVA, 61 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast, BT15 2GB
This year Child Care in Practice challenged our Board Members to revisit the founding principles of the Journal and discuss the continued importance of research informed practice, more than 20 years after the Journal’s inception.
Come along to learn specific strategies from a panel of expert speakers who are widely acknowledged for their impact on services for children across a range of disciplines, including social work, psychology, nursing, mental health and early education.
Topics to include innovative developments in tackling issues such as domestic violence, adolescent mental health, self-care in early education, effective communication within and between organisations…. And more!
This quick fire round of presentations will excite and inspire you to continue asking “Why is it important to connect research to practice?”
Tell us about your research and how it is informing practice. Have you published it yet? Talk to members of our Editorial Board about steps to publishing your research.
Numbers are limited so early booking is advised
