At our recent AGM, we were delighted to welcome Professor Alastair Black from the Belfast Health & Social Care Trust Regional Trauma Network. Professor Black presented a fascinating and detailed insight into 'Getting to Grips with Complex Trauma' with reflections on 'real problems' and 'practical' solutions.

 

About our Speaker

Professor Alastair Black is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist and is the lead for child and young person trauma within Belfast Health and Social Care Trust Regional Trauma Network.  He has worked within a wide range of specialist Child and Adolescent treatment services.  Alastair is an accredited Cognitive Behaviour Psychotherapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) and a United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapies (UKCP) registered Psychotherapist.  He is also a BABCP accredited CBT Trainer and BABCP accredited Clinical Supervisor.  Alastair is an accredited EMDR Europe Child Consultant, EMDR Europe Adult Consultant and EMDR International Association Facilitator.  He is actively involved in treatment, teaching, supervision, consultation and research in the field of child and adolescent disorders.  Alastair is a speaker at national and international clinical conferences and has provided consultations to national and international government bodies.
